Interesting Attack on Titan Factoid of the Day: Sonny and Bean
Hanji’s beloved pets/research subjects are actually named after Sawney Bean, a Scottish folkloric figure who supposedly headed a 50 member clan of incestuous cannibals in the 1500’s. After becoming disillusioned with his initial career as a hedge trimmer, Bean and his wife moved to a cave where they attacked and ate the flesh of over 1,000 unlucky travelers. The couple and their offspring were eventually apprehended and executed.
